L2TP problem
Posted: Wednesday, December 20th, 2006 at 23:27 by Steve Lalondejust had a problem with the LTS viburnum, it was missing part of its config – no default route had been added to the box
I was making some changes to the routing protocol on the dsl pool and stopped announcing a default to it, at that point it could no longer reach the rest of our network. I reversed the changes as soon as it was noticed and the box is now back in the pool (with the missing config added).
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused

Network Maintenance: Global Switch

The router global-switch.bdr.enta.net will be removed from our network during the maintenance window above. There is no downtime expected for this work as no customers are connected to this device. Other customers should not be affected, although there is a chance of some routing instability for a few minutes after the work. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
All DSL services have now been restored and have been stable for approximately 45 minutes. The issue was identified as a routing loop between two of our DSL aggregation routers. We do not anticipate a re-occurrence of the issue and will continue to monitor throughout the day.
