Central 5 MTU

Posted: Friday, September 7th, 2007 at 17:05 by Steve Lalonde

OK I’m trying to find out who and how many users are affected by the MTU weird on central 5

I cant find any tickets in the support system about it :( so if you are affected please send a email to support@enta.net with subject of “Central 5 MTU” remember to include your full adsl username location router model etc.

no one here can find any fault we cant replicate it with our 5 test adsl lines ( all are OK on all centrals ) and BT cant find anything wrong.

Emergency Software Update

Posted: Friday, September 7th, 2007 at 10:55 by Steve Lalonde

Due to last nights router problems we will be upgrading the software on interxion.core.enta.net this will involve approx 10 mins down time while the router reboots.

All customers connected directly to interxion.core.enta.net will lose service for the duration and there may be a period of routing instability while the routing protocols reconverge for all users.

This work will start at 11:00am

  1. Steve Lalonde says:

    This work is now complete.

Network stability 1:00am – 6:30am

We are aware of problems with international connectivity last night, this looks the be down to a specific router fault. Engineers are currently investigating the cause.

RFO to follow.

We have just started accepting connections on to central 6, currently only for users on *@adsl.enta.net we will add the other realms in once we are sure there are no problems.

  1. Steve Lalonde says:

We are now adding in all the rest of our realms so this central can be considered as fully active.

should be complete in the next 2 hours.
