Leeds to Newcastle and Sheffield

Our link between Leeds and Newcastle and Leeds and Sheffield is currently down. We are investigating the cause with our supplier who inform us they are experiancing a network outage in the Leeds area. Traffic is being rerouted via alternate paths, some increase in latency may be seen. Further updates will be provided as information becomes availiable.
Our supplier has informed us that they have 2 seperate fiber breaks. The first is between Leeds and York. Work has just been completed here and the circuit between Leeds and Newcastle is now restored but should be considered at risk until the fault is closed off. The fiber break between Leeds and Sheffield has been located and engineers are on site to start the repair work.
The Leeds to Sheffield service was restored at 10.55am. The final update from our supplier suggests that both Leeds to Newcastle and Leeds to Sheffield were caused due to vandalism. The Fault is now closed.
