Planned Maintenance: Generator Test

11th Sept 2010, 09:30 hours – 13:30 hours

We will be conducting a full load generator test for our Telford Data centres on Saturday 11th Sept 2010 at 09.30hrs. The switch to generator power is expected to take less than 20 seconds to complete, and a further switch to the second generator will be triggered. It is anticipated that the second generator will be brought on-line, before the first is taken down. All customers who have services in the Telford Data centres will be affected, however due to UPS protection, no outage is anticipated. During this time our support phones may also suffer some disruption. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Planned work: PWAN Maintenance

Wednesday 1st September 2010, 00:00hrs – 06:00hrs

During this maintenance window additional resilience and capacity is being added to the PWAN Infrastructure between Interxion and Telehouse. We are also taking the opportunity to upgrade the IOS on Core PWAN routers. There may be several short (up to approx. 15 minutes) outages during this time. It should be noted that this maintenance will only affect PWAN customers.

VoIP and IPSEC Traffic Difficulties

We are aware of a small number of 20CN and 21CN DSL customers who are experiencing sporadic performance and connectivity related problems with both VoIP and IPSEC traffic.

Our Systems team are currently investigating this problem in co-operation with BT. Further information will be provided as and when it becomes available.

Emergency Maintenance: Bristol to Interxion

We have been advised by our carriers that they will be performing essential network maintenance during the window specified above. This is to carry on unfinished works from last weekend. All traffic will reroute over alternate paths during the maintenance which may lead to increased latency.

Leasedline Issue

We are currently aware of an issue affecting some customers that have leased lines from us using Virgin Media as the Supplier. Virgin Media are experiencing Power Issues within their Core Network and engineers are currently investigating. We will provide an update when we have something new from Virgin Media.

Birmingham IPStream Connect Users

During the maintenance window above, We will be performing essential maintenance on our DSL network involving software upgrades and changes to the links between the DSL core sites at Interxion and Telehouse adding additional capacity and increasing resilience.

There will be several short (up to approx 15 minutes) outages during this work while routers are rebooted and DWDM equipment is added to the fibre paths between the sites.

L2TP customer incident in Meridian Gate

Our network team is aware of the issue and they are currently working to restore service to anyone affected. We apologise for the problems this will cause.
