Following on from recent network incidents it has become necessary to schedule a series of emergency maintenance windows at the above time in order to undertake IOS upgrades to the routers specified below. Each update will require a reboot of the device and hence anyone directly connected will experience a brief outage. It is anticipated that each such outage will last approximately 15 minutes.

Please also be aware that the network will suffer short periods of instability during the entire window due to routing protocol re-convergence.

The following routers will be affected on the following days.

During the maintenance window above, the telecity-hex.core.enta.net router will be rebooted for a software upgrade to resolve some configuration issues. This should take less than 30 minutes to complete, during which time all directly connected customers without backup services will be off line.

This work has been scheduled to coincide with existing planned engineering work to reduce the impact on our customers.

This should take less than 30 minutes to complete, during which time all directly connected customers without backup services will be off line.

During the maintenance window above, the redbus-hex.edge.enta.net router will be rebooted to resolve some configuration issues. This should take less than 30 minutes to complete, during which all directly connected customers will be out of service.

Tuesday 2nd Feb 2010, 03:00hrs – 04:00hrs

To resolve the intermittent packet loss issue on the Telford to Wolverhampton link it has become necessary to reload telford-dc3.core.enta.net. This emergency work should take approx 10 minutes to complete, during which all directly connected customers will lose connectivity.
