We are currently aware of an issue within our Telford Data Centre affecting connectivity. Engineers are currently investigating, updates to follow as soon as available.

During the above window we will be decommissioning telford-dc2.core.enta.net.

All services currently terminated in this location will be migrated on to telford-dc3-2.core. This includes PWANs, colocation and pseudowires. During the maintenance, customers will experience a loss of connectivity within their service (PWANs, colocation or pseudowire). If you are one of those customers, you will be notified directly by our Technical Service Desk by the end of Monday 14th January.

Once we have confirmed the maintenance is complete, any customers still experiencing issues should reboot their equipment before contacting the Technical Service Desk.

All other traffic that would normally route through this location will take alternative paths.

During the above window we will be carrying out essential maintenance within the rack that terminates a small number of Virgin Media leased line circuits at our Telford data-centre. This is a service impacting maintenance and outages will be observed.

Any customers impacted by this change will be notified Individually.

During the above window we will be carrying out essential maintenance within the racks that terminate Openreach circuits in our Telford location. This is service affecting with downtime expected to be no longer than 4hrs, however the full duration of the window may be required to account for any unforeseen issues. All affected customers have been contacted individually.

During the above window we will be performing cable management on equipment servicing Openreach leased line circuits terminating in our Telford location. Although this work is anticipated to cause no down time for services they should be considered at risk for the duration the window.

During the above window, Western Power Distribution will be conducting maintenance works to service the electricity substation supplying the local area. During these works, external mains supply will be disconnected to allow safe operation to all involved, in doing so our external generators will supply the Telford data centre allowing for continued and uninterrupted service.

We are speaking with the power company to obtain clarity as to the actual duration of works and will update if this becomes available.

No down time is expected and all precautions will be taken to avoid any disruption, however during this window the Telford data centre should be considered at risk.

During the above window we will be replacing telford-dc3-2.core.enta.net with a higher capacity router.

All services currently terminated in this location will be migrated on to the new hardware. This includes leased-lines, colocation and pseudowires terminating at this location. Whilst actual downtime is expected to be no more than 30 minutes for each circuit, the full 6 hrs may be required to account for any unforeseen issues.

All other traffic that would normally route through this location will take alternative paths.

Planned Maintenance: Telford DC2 Equipment

During the above window we will be relocating the below equipment out of DC2 in Telford and into DC3. Downtime for each device should be no more than 30 minutes at any point within the window:

  • pwan-diag
  • pwan-kikker.edge
  • pwan-tlf.edge

Please note that during this window the Mirada virtual machine used for troubleshooting will be unavailable briefly and whilst pawn-kikker.edge is relocated all PWAN devices will show as unreachable. This will however not affect the operation of PWAN devices and no downtime will be experienced as a result. During the move of pwan-tlf.edge some customers will experience a loss of connectivity to colocation in Telford from their PWAN. Individual customers will be notified separately if this will directly affect them.

During the above window we will be performing necessary power and cable maintenance in the datacenter in preparation for the Installation of new hardware.

No down time is expected and all precautions will be taken to avoid any disruption, however during this time any customers within this data center should be considered at risk.

Any customers that may be at a particular risk due to the power work, will be notified.
