Engineers are on route to site, the router will be rebooted on arrival to restore service as fast as possible and then customer circuits will be moved individually to new equipment.

Only customers directly connected to this router are affected.

Current estimated time to fix is 11:00.

Due to the ongoing weather conditions and flooding, our Birmingham to London circuit is currently down. All traffic is flowing via alternative routes and no problems are being seen at the moment. We will of course report further news as we receive it.

Hopefully our suppliers are busy training their engineers in scuba diving to get the problem resolved as quickly as possible!

Planned Maintenance: Generator Test

Posted: Friday, July 13th, 2007 at 18:03 by Neil Watson

28th July 2007, 10:00hrs

We will be conducting a full load generator test for our Telford Data centres on Saturday 28th July 2007 at 10.00hrs. The switch to generator power is expected to take less than 20 seconds to complete, and a further switch to the second generator will be triggered. It is anticipated that the second generator will be brought on-line, before the first is taken down. The full test is not expected to take more than 10 minutes. All customers who have services in the Telford Data centres will be affected, however due to UPS protection, no outage is anticipated. During this time our support phones may also suffer some disruption. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

  1. Steve Lalonde says:

Reminder: Generator test at 10:00 today

  2. Steve Lalonde says:

Generator test is now complete and we are back on mains power.

5 seconds from power fail to full load on generator 1
9 seconds from fail on generator 1 to full load on generator 2

no problems with any equipment in all 3 DC rooms.
