We briefly lost connectivity to our Glasgow POP due to an unscheduled reload. Engineers are investigating the cause.

Possible VoIP issues

We are aware that one of our upstream suppliers has issues at the moment causing problems with our VoIP service. This is causing post dial delays and one way audio issues. In order to minimise the impact we have re-routed the calls which should help ease the issue until a fix is completed by the supplier. We will update as further information becomes available.

    The Supplier confirms the issue is now resolved. We would request all customers to retest the service and if further issues are experienced to contact the Technical Support Desk for further assistance.

Potential Packet Loss Issue

We are aware that some customers are experiencing a degraded service currently, with a level of packet loss being seen. Customers routing traffic in the northern half of the UK are more likely to experience the issue. Our engineers are working to diagnose the problem and will advise on any action needed to correct it.

    Our engineers believe that the issue lies with the manchester.core router and therefore need to carry out an emergency reload. This will take place at 18.30. Apologies for the extremely short notice. Traffic should reroute, however anyone that is directly connected will lose service for approximately 15 – 30 minutes.

    The reload has now completed and appears to have resolved the problem. We will continue to monitor, however the early indications are positive and customers should have no further issue.
