Incident: Vodafone Circuits

We are currently aware of an issue causing a loss of service for a small number of Vodafone based Ethernet circuits. Engineers are investigating and the supplier has also been engaged. Further updates will be provided as and when they become available.

    Connectivity is currently restored. Engagement with Vodafone has yet to provide an explanation for this loss of service, however we are continuing to pursue an answer.

    For the time being Vodafone circuits terminating in redbus-sov.core should be considered at risk.

During the above window we will be replacing redbus-sov.core.enta.net with a new router.

All services will be migrated to the new router, we expect downtime of approximately 1 hour during the window.

Affected services are:

  • All ethernet lines terminating at Telecity (redbus) Sovereign House
  • All wholesale ethernet lines via Telecity (redbus) Sovereign House
  • All customer interconnects ( EWCS / Wholesale handoff ) terminating at Telecity (redbus) Sovereign House

Tuesday 26th Jan 2010, 04:00hrs – 04:30hrs

During the maintenance window above the IOS on the router will be upgraded to resolve some configuration issues. This software upgrade will require a reboot of the router which should take approx 10 minutes to complete, during which all directly connected customers will lose connectivity.

Traffic that would normally be routed through this equipment will route via alternate paths.
