During the above window we will be replacing with a higher capacity router.

All services currently terminated in this location will be migrated on to the new hardware. This includes EWCS, Transit, Leased lines and Pseudowires terminating at this location. Whilst actual downtime is expected to be no more than 1 hour, the full 6 hours may be required to account for any unforeseen issues.

All other traffic that would normally route through this location will take alternative paths.

Incident: Vodafone Circuits

Posted: Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 at 00:02 by Gurinder Bansal

We are currently aware of an issue causing a loss of service for a small number of Vodafone based Ethernet circuits. Engineers are investigating and the supplier has also been engaged. Further updates will be provided as and when they become available.

  1. Richard Partridge says:

Connectivity is currently restored. Engagement with Vodafone has yet to provide an explanation for this loss of service, however we are continuing to pursue an answer.

For the time being Vodafone circuits terminating in redbus-sov.core should be considered at risk.

During the maintenance window above the IOS on the router will be upgraded to resolve some configuration issues. This software upgrade will require a reboot of the router which should take approx 10 minutes to complete, during which all directly connected customers will lose connectivity.

Traffic that would normally be routed through this equipment will route via alternate paths.

  1. Steve Lalonde says:

The router failed to reboot correctly, an engineer is now onsite.

  2. Steve Lalonde says:

The router is now operational again. This maintenance work is now closed.
