Planned Work: Core Router Software Upgrade – tel2-rtr-1

During the above window, we will carry out software upgrades on our core router in Telford. Two reboots will be required and all directly connected services will experience outages of approximately 30 minutes in total. Any traffic that would usually be routed through this node will take an alternative path for the duration of the work.

Emergency Work: lns6.the.dsl

During the above window we will be conducting an emergency reload of this device to resolve a software issue. Any xDSL sessions that currently land on this device will be disconnected, but will be able to reconnect to other available devices in the pool. During the above window we will be carrying out an emergency reload of lon4-rtr-2 to resolve an issue with the device. Any directly connected customers will see a brief outage during the works. This will be limited to a subset of off-net Virgin Media tails that are delivered to this location. Additionally, some PWAN and Managed EWCS xDSL users may see sessions drop and re-establish.

Third Party Planned Works: Virgin Media – Network Maintenance

Thursday 24th March 2022 23:00 – Friday 25th March 09:00

During the above window, third-party supplier Virgin Media will be carrying out some maintenance on their Network. The maintenance will create a service outage however the outage period should only last last for upto 8 x hours; however a 10x hour timeframe has been given in the event of any unforeseen circumstances required and any associated none impacting work including pre-work taking place between 23:00 hours and Midnight.

Emergency Work: Reload of lns3.inx.dsl

Wednesday 16th February 2022 01:00 – 02:00

During the above window, we will be carrying out an emergency reload of one of our LNS’s, due to a potential problem identified with the device. This will result in a brief outage for a small number of DSL users. Sessions are expected to automatically reconnect to an alternative LNS. Any users that remain down following the work may need to reboot their Customer Premises Equipment to restore connectivity.
