Planned Work: Bristol Metro Migration

Monday 6th November 23:00 – Tuesday 7th November 02:00

During the above window, we will decommission our NNI between bri12-rtr-1 and bri165-rtr-1. Any services currently terminating at bri165 will be migrated to bri12, and may experience an outage of up to 1 hour during the window. In the event that any services remain down following the work, we kindly ask customers to reboot their CPE and ONT prior to raising a ticket with our Service Desk.

Supplier Planned Work: Interxion Power Work

Our colocation provider Interxion has notified us of critical power works that they will be carrying out on the above date.

The work carried being carried out will result in the B-Feed to the suite being isolated for the duration of the maintenance window while upgrade work is carried out.

This work is remedial action by the colocation provider due to the power events that occured within the datacenter 14/9/2022.

Efforts have been carried out to minimze disruption to services and devices within our suite. A Cityfibre/Entanet engineer will be on site on the day of the maintenance as a precuation.

We apologise for the late notification regarding this work being carried out.


Shutdown of obsolete authoritative DNS servers.

We no longer need the authoritative DNS servers in the following list, they will be shutdown on Monday 25th September 2023 at 09:00 BST

We have noticed a very small number of customers are using these servers as caching resolvers, we ask customers who have changed their DNS from the defaults provided during authentication to check their settings and remove any references to the above IP addresses before the shutdown date.

Our usual DNS caching resolvers are unaffected by the shutdown and are listed here for reference.

Planned Maintenance: man191-rtr-1

During the above window, we will be replacing our core router at Equinix, Manchester.

All services currently terminated in this location will be migrated on to the new hardware.

Directly connected services will suffer service impact during the maintenance window, services include DIA, DSL, EWCS, wholesale hand-off and pseudowires.All other traffic that would normally route through this location will take alternative paths.

Planned Work: BGP Process Restart cardiff.core

Tuesday 14th June 2022 23:00 – Wednesday 15th June 2022 00:00

During the above window, we will be carrying out a restart to the BGP process due to a problem identified with this device. This will result in a brief outage for customers who terminate on this device. BGP Sessions are expected to automatically re-establish after the process restart. Any users that remain down following the work may need to reboot their Customer Premises Equipment to restore connectivity.

Planned Maintenance: Interxion PDU swap

Any Virgin Media circuits provided via Interxion will experience downtime during the above window.

Any BT Openreach circuits supplied via Interxion will be considered at risk for the duration of the above window.
